Electrical Safety on Farm
- Get an electrician or qualified test & tagger to test and tag all of your electrical equipment and power cords. This should be done at varying times depending on the device and its location, but at least get it done every 12 months
- In some states, you can do an Electrical Testing & Tagging course through TAFE and become qualified to test electrical equipment yourself. A PAT machine to perform the tests will cost around $1000-$3000 depending on which brand and model you buy
- Make sure all of your sheds and houses have an RCD fitted (Residual Current Device AKA Safety Switch)
